Türkiye’s exports to the Balkans surged 28.7% year-on-year to nearly $14 billion in the first eight months of 2022.
According to data compiled on Thursday by Anadolu Agency from the Turkish Exporters Assembly, an umbrella organization of the country’s exporters associations, Romania was the main destination of Turkish exports with $4.2 billion in January-August.
It was followed by Bulgaria with more than $3 billion, Greece with $1.9 billion, Serbia with $1.2 billion, and Slovenia with $1.1 billion in the eight-month period.
Türkiye exported goods worth of $665.5 million to Albania, $485.8 million to Bosnia-Herzegovina, $430.9 million to Macedonia, $400.9 million to Kosovo, $393.6 million to Croatia, and $110.2 million to Montenegro from January to August.
