July 31, 2024 9:37 amTürkiye’s energy import bill increased by 5.1% to $5.21 billion in June compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Wednesday.
The country’s energy import bill totaled $4.54 billion this June.
The data shows that the overall import bill for the month, including energy and other items, totaled $24.92 billion.
At $4.54 billion, energy accounted for 18.2% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in June.
Crude oil imports saw a 5% decline to 2.84 million tons, compared to 2.99 million tons in June 2023.
