Türkiye’s energy import bill decreased by 39% to $5.33 billion in August compared to the same month of 2022, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Friday.
The country’s energy import bill totaled $8.73 billion in August 2022.
The data shows that the overall import bill in August, including energy and other items, totaled $30.27 billion.
At $5.33 billion, energy accounted for 17.6% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in August.
