Türkiye’s energy import bill down 36.3% in April

Türkiye’s energy import bill decreased by 36.3% to $4.95 billion in April compared to the same month of 2022, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Tuesday.

The data shows that the overall import bill in April, including energy and other items, totaled $28.06 billion.

At $4.95 billion, energy accounted for 17.6% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in April.

Crude oil imports in April showed a 33.8% decrease to 1.99 million tons of crude, compared to 3.01 million tons in April last year.
