Türkiye’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Burak Akcapar held a series of meetings with UN officials.
Akcapar met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo, UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix, and Assistant Secretary-General of the UN for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations Miroslaw Jenca, the Foreign Ministry wrote on X on Saturday.
Akcapar and DiCarlo “discussed regional and international issues, especially Ukraine, Cyprus and Gaza,” during the meeting.
Akcapar and Lacroix “discussed developments regarding Cyprus, South Caucasus, Summit of the Future and Türkiye’s contributions to the UN peacekeeping efforts.”
With Jenca, he also “exchanged views on developments in the South Caucasus, Central Asia, Ukraine, Cyprus, the Balkans as well as connectivity.”
