The daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 0.5% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,105,817 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 52,131 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country’s electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 36,608 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production reached 1,095,820 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 0.3% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 28% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydroelectric plants contributed 21.3% and 14.6%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 7,814 megawatt-hours, and its imports totaled 17,811 megawatt-hours.
