Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 0.08% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,051,438 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 51,205 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,125 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to1,065,111 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking an increase of 0.01% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 27.1% of total generation, while imported coal plants and wind plants contributed 21.4% and 18.4%, respectively.
On Friday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 13,472 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 238 megawatt-hours.
