Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.11% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,043,590 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 50,471 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,017 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,041,846 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decline of 0.9% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 25.3% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 23.1% and 13.7%, respectively.
On Friday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 15,481 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 17,225 megawatt-hours.
