Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 0.56% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 943,515 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,991 megawatt-hours at 03.00 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,933 megawatt-hours at 07.00 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 929,822 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 0.83% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 32.4% of total generation, while imported coal power plants and lignite plants contributed 21.7% and 12.9%, respectively.
On Friday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 12,532 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 26,225 megawatt-hours.
