Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 0.26% on Friday, compared to the previous day, totaling 985,547 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,096 megawatt-hours at 11 a.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,951 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 998,286 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking an increase of 0.35% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 27.1 % of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 24% and 11.4%, respectively.
On Friday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 13,880 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 1,142 megawatt-hours.
