Türkiye’s daily power consumption down 0.11%

The daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.11% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,022,052 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,993 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country’s electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 33,465 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production reached 1,012,280 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of 0.17% compared toThursday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 23.6% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydroelectric plants contributed 23% and 14.%, respectively.

On Friday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 5,881 megawatt-hours, and its imports totaled 15,651 megawatt-hours.
