Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.05% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 955,889 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,319 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,799 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 956,117 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a rise of 0.14% compared to Thursday.
Electricity production from hydroelectricity power plant constituted 25% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 23.6% and 13.2%, respectively.
On Friday, the country’s electricity exports amounted to 4,577 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 4,779 megawatt-hours.
