Türkiye’s consumer confidence down in February

ISTANBUL

Türkiye’s consumer confidence index decreased by 1.3% to 79.3 from January to February, the official figures revealed on Wednesday.

All sub-indexes posted declines in February, with general economic situation expectation losing the most with 3.4% versus January.

The financial situation expectation of households over the next 12 months decreased by 1.6%, and assessment on spending money on durable goods over the next 12 months fell by 0.3%.

The financial situation of households dropped by 0.1%.

Calculated from the monthly survey, results are evaluated within a range of 0-200. Sectoral confidence indexes above 100 signal an optimistic outlook, and a pessimistic outlook when below 100.
