Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened at 3,408.48 points on Tuesday, up 1.49%, or 50.12 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 4.21% to end Monday at a record high close of 3,358.37 points, with a daily trading volume of 104.93 billion Turkish liras ($5.75 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose slightly to 18.2264 as of 10.19 a.m. local time (0719GMT), versus 18.2210 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also rose to 18.1664 from 18.0830, while a British pound traded for 21.1350 Turkish liras, up from 21.0260.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $95.5 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was at $1,725.55.
