Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Tuesday at 3,265.64 points, up 0.17% or 5.49 points from Monday’s close.
The index’s lowest value during the day was 3,256.46, points, while its daily high was 3,319.14 points.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.6 trillion Turkish liras ($142 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 63.1 billion Turkish liras ($3.4 billion).
During the day, 37 stocks on the index rose, 61 fell and two remained unchanged compared to the previous close.
Oil prices rebounded on Tuesday, after losing almost 4% in the previous trade, as fresh supply-side uncertainties coupled with anticipated supply cuts by OPEC producers overshadowed a strong dollar, which discourages investors from buying dollar-indexed oil.
International benchmark Brent crude traded at $86.85 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,654.10.
