Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 6,636.70 points, up 0.55%, or 36.24 points, from the previous close.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed at record high of 6,600.46 points, gaining 35% with a daily trading volume of 122 billion Turkish liras ($4.66 billion).
The US dollar/lira exchange rate was at 26.5654 as of 9.55 a.m. local time (0655GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 29.8995, while a British pound traded for 34.7685 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $78.60 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,963.95.
