Türkiye’s BIST 100 index opens Friday on high note

ISTANBUL

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened the last trading day of the week at 10,248.11 points, up 0.19%, or 19.72 points, from the previous close.

On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 was up by 0.39% to close at 10,228.39 points, with a daily transaction volume of 65 billion Turkish liras ($1.64 billion).

As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 39.8385 liras to the US dollar, 46.9830 to the euro, and 54.5440 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,342.90, while Brent crude oil was trading at $68.05 per barrel.
