Türkiye’s BIST 100 index flat at weekly close

ISTANBUL

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Friday at 11,341.90 points, slightly up 0.06% from its previous close.

After starting the day at 11,346.15 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained 6.85 points from Thursday’s close.

The lowest value was 11,291.08, while the daily high was 11,354.26.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 10.64 trillion Turkish liras ($249.5 billion), with a daily trading volume of 115.1 billion Turkish liras ($2.7 billion).

Some 55 stocks on the index declined and 44 rose, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,344.40 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $59.70 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 42.8090, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 50.2140, while the British pound traded for 57.2575 Turkish liras.
