Türkiye’s BIST 100 index ends week with gains

ANKARA

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index closed Friday at 9,549.89 points, surging 1.94% from the previous day.

Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained 182.12 points with a daily trading volume of 119.7 billion liras ($3.47 billion).

On a weekly basis, the index rose 1.71% at Friday’s close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,698.00, while Brent crude oil sold for around $74.73 per barrel as of 6.15 p.m. local time (1515GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.5414, the euro/lira at 36.0077, while a British pound traded for 43.2824 liras.
