Türkiye’s BIST 100 index ends week in the red

ANKARA

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index closed Friday at 9,900.25 points, falling 0.76% from the previous day.

Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 75.36 points with a daily trading volume of 76 billion liras ($2.24 billion).

On a weekly basis, the index gained 2.22% at Friday’s close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,646.80, while Brent crude oil sold for around $74.41 per barrel as of 6.50 p.m. local time (1550GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.1126, euro/lira at 38.0491, while a British pound traded for 45.3668 liras.
