Türkiye’s BIST 100 index ends Thursday up

ISTANBUL

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 11,233.66 points, up 0.36%.

Starting the day at 11,226.65 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index earned 39.78 points from Wednesday’s close.

The lowest value of the index was 10,934.18, while the daily high was 11,032.53.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 10.54 trillion Turkish liras ($247.9 billion), with a trading volume of 134 billion liras ($3.15 billion).

Some 54 stocks on the index rose and 41 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,262.98 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $60.85 per barrel as of 7.45 pm local time (1645GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 42.6030, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 50.1795, and the British pound traded for 57.3520 liras.
