Türkiye’s BIST 100 index ends Monday with gains

ISTANBUL

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Monday at 11,060.39 points, up 0.81% from the previous close.

Starting the new week at 11,019.60 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained 88.87 points from Friday’s close.

The index’s lowest value during the day was 11,011.87, while its daily high was 11,152.28 .

During the day, 72 stocks on the index rose and 27 fell compared to the previous close.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 10.31 trillion Turkish liras ($246.1 billion), with a daily trading volume of 164 billion Turkish liras ($3.9 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $4,012.10, while Brent crude oil sold for around $64.40 per barrel as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 42.0460, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 48.4290, and a British pound traded for 55.2180 Turkish liras.
