Türkiye’s BIST 100 index ends Monday up

ISTANBUL

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Monday at 11,116.45 points, increasing 2%.

Starting the week at 10,898.10 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index earned 217.75 points from Friday’s close.

The lowest value of the index was 10,870.07, while the daily high was 11,125.72.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 10.5 trillion Turkish liras ($247.6 billion), with a trading volume of 135.3 billion liras ($3.2 billion).

Some 84 stocks on the index rose and 15 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,224 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $63.30 per barrel as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 42.4400, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 49.4075, and the British pound traded for 56.2400 liras.9ip=hio06,
