Türkiye’s BIST 100 index down on Friday’s close

ISTANBUL

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Friday at 10,922.86 points, down 0.52%.

After starting the day at 10,936.69 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index fell 56.87 points from Thursday’s close.

The lowest value of the index was 10,815.65, while the daily high was 10,945.74.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 10.22 trillion Turkish liras ($241.7 billion), with a trading volume of 117 billion liras ($2.76 billion).

A total of 32 stocks on the index rose and 63 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,073.90 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $61.6 per barrel as of 7.30 pm local time (1630GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 42.4435, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 48.8495, and the British pound traded for 55.6070 liras.
