Türkiye’s BIST 100 index down at close

ISTANBUL

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Wednesday at 8,330.64 points, down by 1.33% from the previous close.

Starting the third transaction day of the week at 8,482.37 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 112.14 points from the previous close.

The index’s lowest value during the day was 8,315.70, while its daily high was 8,518.86 .

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 7.16 trillion Turkish liras ($258.8 billion), with a daily trading volume of 132 billion Turkish liras ($4.75 billion).

During the day, 25 stocks on the index rose and 74 fell compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,883.90, while Brent crude oil sold for around $85.75 per barrel as of 6.10 p.m. local time (1510GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 27.7370 and the euro/lira exchange rate was 29.4790, while a British pound traded at 34.1570 liras.
