Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended the week on Friday at 14,409.07 points, up 0.51%.
After starting the day at 14,340.70 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index added 73.58 points from Wednesday’s close. Markets were closed Thursday for National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.
The lowest value of the index was 14,212.29, while the daily high was 14,409.07.
The market value of the BIST 100 was around 14.05 trillion Turkish liras ($313.6 billion), with a trading volume of 169.5 billion liras ($3.76 billion).
A total of 63 stocks on the index rose and 35 dropped, compared to the previous close.
Gold was $4,721.25 per ounce, while Brent crude oil futures sold for $106.01 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 45.0245, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 52.7425, and the British pound traded for 60.8225 liras.
