Türkiye’s BIST 100 index closes Wednesday on low note

ANKARA

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Wednesday at 9,312.12 points, down 0.35% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 lost 32.85 points from Tuesday’s close of 9,344.97 points.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 7.9 trillion liras ($256.6 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 148 billion liras ($4.77 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,034.75 while Brent crude oil sold for around $82.69 per barrel as of 7.07 p.m. local time (1607GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 31.0011, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 33.5352, while the British pound traded at 39.0806 liras.
