Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Monday at 8,044.02 points, the highest close since Dec. 5, 2023.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index earned 57.55 points, or 0.72% from last week’s close of 7,986.47.
The total market value of BIST 100 was around 6.8 trillion liras ($227.4 billion), with a daily trading volume of 93 billion liras ($3.08 billion).
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,053.85, while Brent crude oil sold for around $77.38 per barrel as of 6.21 p.m. local time (1521GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 30.0953, the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 32.9266, while a British pound traded for 38.2756 liras.
