Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Monday at 12,689.87 points, down by 1.62% or 209.47 points.
At Friday’s close, the BIST 100 rose by 0.09% to 12,899.35 points, with a daily transaction volume of 99 billion liras ($2 billion).
As of 10.10 am local time (0710GMT), exchange rates stood at 48.9820 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 55.7580 to the euro, and 64.9010 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,160, while Brent crude futures were trading at $106.8 per barrel.
