Türkiye’s BIST 100 down at weekly close

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended the week on Friday at 13,092.93 points, down 1.45% day-by-day.

After starting the day at 13,253.33 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index dropped 193.19 points from Thursday’s close.

The lowest value of the index was 12,944.68, while the daily high was 13,259.08.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 12.8 trillion Turkish liras ($290.6 billion), with a trading volume of 145 billion liras ($3.29 billion).

A total of 26 stocks on the index rose and 73 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $5,030.35 per ounce, while Brent futures were traded for $99.2 per barrel as of 7 pm local time (1600GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 44.1895, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 50.6600, and the British pound traded for 58.5750.
