Türkiye’s BIST 100 closes Wednesday with loses

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index closed Wednesday at 9,031.82 points, down 2.18% from the previous close.

After starting the day at 9,272.75 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 201.08 points, with a daily transaction volume of 84 billion liras ($2.43 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,651.15, while Brent crude oil sold for around $73.28 per barrel as of 6.21 pm local time (1521GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.4812, the euro/lira exchange rate was 36.3265, and the British pound traded at 43.6380 liras.
