Türkiye’s BIST 100 closes Tuesday on low note

ANKARA

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 9,232.90 points, falling 1.73% from the previous close.

After starting the day at 9,430,99 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 162.49 points with a daily transaction volume of 92.2 billion liras ($2.67 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,630.55, while Brent crude oil sold for around $73.77 per barrel as of 6.23 p.m. local time (1523GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 34.5610, the euro/lira exchange rate 36.5434, and the British pound traded at 43.6838 liras.
