Türkiye’s BIST 100 closes on high note

ANKARA 

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index closed Thursday at 10,000.72 points, a 1.11% rise from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained 109.97 points with a daily transaction volume of 95.2 billion liras ($2.69 billion).

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,694.06, while Brent crude oil sold for around $76.70 per barrel as of 6.05 p.m. local time (1505GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 35.3249, the euro/lira exchange rate 36.4960, and the British pound traded at 43.4916 liras.
