The Turkish women’s national volleyball team qualified on Wednesday for the 2022 FIVB Women’s World Championship quarterfinals with two matches to spare.
Pool F leaders Serbia beat Dominican Republic 3-0 in a Wednesday match as the Serbian victory enabled Türkiye to finish Phase 2 among the best four teams in the same group.
Earlier Wednesday, Türkiye won against Canada 3-0 in a Pool F – Phase 2 match.
In the next fixture in Pool F, second-place Türkiye will face the US on Friday and Serbia on Saturday.
Serbia have 20 points to top the pool, Türkiye have 17 points, and the US are in third spot with 15 points.
Poland bagged 13 points to rank fourth.
Following their loss against Serbia, Dominican Republic have 11 points to come seventh.
Pool E and F feature eight nations, and the best four teams will qualify for the quarterfinals, which will begin on Oct. 11.
