The agricultural trade between Türkiye and Russia reached around $6 billion last year, highlighting how the two countries “complement” each other in economic relations, Russian agricultural minister told Anadolu.
Oksana Lut, speaking on the sidelines of the second International Forum on Veterinary Safety in Moscow, stated that the agricultural trade volume between Türkiye and Russia remained highly stable, while Russian exports to Türkiye are currently higher than imports.
“Türkiye and Russia complement each other in agriculture; while we primarily export grains, oilseeds, and processed oil products to Türkiye, we receive mainly fruits and vegetables,” she said.
Lut called her Turkish counterparts “reliable partners,” expressing optimism that broader geopolitical issues would not disrupt the mutually beneficial supply chain.
