ISTANBUL
Basat Ozturk, the director-general for international security at the Turkish Foreign Ministry, has been appointed as Türkiye’s permanent representative to NATO, according to a presidential decree on Thursday.
The decree, signed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was published in the Official Gazette.
Ozturk will represent Türkiye at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
