“Turkish Week” Announced in Paterson New Jersey

PATERSON, NEW JERSEY

Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh declares May 24 to May 31 as Turkish week.

People attended the ‘Turkish Independence Week’ ceremony, which was announced on the first day of Eid al-Fitr, due to the COVID-19 everyone was wearing masks.

While the Turkish festival in the city, which has been traditionally held for 15 years, has been postponed to a later date this year, a ceremony to draw the Turkish Flag was held in front of the Paterson City Hall.

Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh, Paterson Police Chief İbrahim Mike Bayçora, Paterson Cultural Ambassador Hüseyin Bayram, Paterson-Clifton Turkish American Day Parade and Festival President Suzan and Nurettin Demircan and TASC Representatives Hasan Ören, Murat Bayçora and Gökhan Doğan attended.
