Turkish trade minister at G-20 meeting in India

ISTANBUL

Participating in a G-20 meeting in India’s Jaipur, Türkiye’s trade minister emphasized “the importance of inclusive growth and human development in solving today’s global problems on behalf of our country.”

On X, formerly Twitter, Omer Bolat said Türkiye would discuss “trade, economic growth, and prosperity,” as well as the strengthening of global value chain resilience, and World Trade Organization (WTO) reform with its interlocutors at the G-20 meeting.

The theme of the two-day meeting, which began on Thursday, was “One Earth, One Family, One Future.”

Bolat also said he met with WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo Iweala and discussed matters related to the functioning of the organization.
