Turkish stocks up at Friday’s close

ANKARA

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Friday with gains, up 1.05% or 33.10 points to reach 3,179.99 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 2.5 trillion Turkish liras ($137 billion) by close, with a daily trading volume of 46.9 billion Turkish liras ($2.5 billion).

One ounce of gold traded at $1,653.00 by market close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

Oil prices increased nearly 1% during the week ending Sept. 30 due to soaring supply-side concerns fueled by the Russia-Ukraine tension and anticipated supply cuts by OPEC+ producers.

International benchmark Brent crude traded at $86.13 per barrel for a 0.69% increase from the opening price on Monday of $85.54 a barrel.

American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI), trading at $80.19 per barrel at the same time, saw a 1.21% rise after the previous session closed at $79.23 a barrel.
