Turkish stocks end Monday up by over 2.4%

ISTANBUL

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Monday at 5,148.93 points, up 2.43% from the previous close.

Starting the week at 5,051.64 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index earned 122.1 points compared to the last week’s close of 5,026.83 points.

The index’s lowest value during the last transaction day was 5,014.44, while its daily high was 5,173.44.

The total market value of BIST 100 was around 4.12 trillion Turkish liras ($218.75 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 73 billion Turkish liras ($3.89 billion).

During the day, 78 stocks on the index rose and 18 fell compared to the previous close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $1,851.95, while Brent crude oil sold around $83.72 per barrel as of 6:36 p.m. local time (1536GMT).
