Turkish stock exchange up at open

ISTANBUL

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened Friday at 10,911.92 points, marking an increase of 0.37% or 40.44 points from the previous close.

On Thursday, the BIST 100 index fell by 1.09% to a record closing level of 10,871.48 points, with a daily transaction volume of 97.7 billion liras ($2.96 billion).

As of 10.10 a.m. (0710GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.1225. The EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.9720, while the GBP/TRY rate was 42.6030.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,370.65, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $81.40 per barrel.
