Turkish stock exchange up at open

ISTANBUL 

The Turkish benchmark stock index opened the midweek at 10,693.02 points, up by 0.15% or 15.53 points from the previous close.

On Tuesday, the BIST 100 index went up by 0.19% to 10,677.49 points with a daily transaction volume of 95 billion Turkish liras ($2.96 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.2185 as of 10.40 a.m. (0740GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.0090, while the GBP/TRY rate was 41.1735.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,351.76, and the barrel price of Brent oil around $84.25.
