The Turkish benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 10.097,39 points, up slightly by 0.51% or 51,64 points versus the previous close.
At Tuesday’s close, the BIST 100 index dropped by 0.37% to 10.045,74 points with a daily transaction volume of 109 billion Turkish liras ($3.37 billion).
On Wednesday, the stock exchange was closed for transactions due to May 1 Labor Day.
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.3730 as of 10.00 a.m. (0700GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 34.7365, while the GBP/TRY rate was 40.5850.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,313.60, and the barrel price of Brent oil was around $83.85.
