Turkish stock exchange looking up at Tuesday open

ANKARA

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 9,186.00 points, up 0.31%, or 28.46 points, from the previous close.

On Monday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed at 9,157.54 points, a rise of 0.17%, with a daily trading volume of 108 billion Turkish liras ($3.32 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.1440 as of 9.57 a.m. local time (0657GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 34.5657, while a British pound traded for 40.3072 liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $88.02 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,275.45.
