Turkish stock exchange flat at Friday’s close

ISTANBUL

The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Friday at 9,652 points, up slightly by 0.12% from the previous close.

The BIST 100 index gained 11.92 points from Thursday’s close.

The lowest point for the index during the day was 9,575.85, while the daily high was 9,734.16.

The total transaction volume hit 113 billion Turkish liras ($3.25 billion).

The USD/TRY exchange rate was 34.6970 as of 7 p.m. local time (1600GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.6470, and the GBP/TRY traded at 44.1110.

The price of gold was $2,658.30 per ounce, while the barrel price of Brent oil was $73.
