The Turkish benchmark stock index closed the week at 9,771.16 points on Friday, down 1.67% from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index, which started the day at 9,936.20 points, lost 165.60 points from Thursday’s close.
The lowest value of the index for the day was 9,768.60, while its daily high was 9,980.96.
Some 18 indices increased in value, while 82 declined at the end of the day.
The total transaction volume reached 74 billion Turkish liras ($2.17 billion), while the overall value of the index was 8.3 trillion liras ($244.3 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 34.0230 as of 6.35 p.m. (1535GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.7655, while the GBP/TRY traded at 44.7295.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,510.07, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $71.35.
