The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Monday at 9,565.76 points, down by 1.06% from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index started the day at 9,739.80 points, falling 102.35 points from Friday’s close.
The lowest value of the index for the day was 9,553.17, while its daily high was 9,749.15.
While 56 indices dropped during the day, 39 indices gained value.
The total transaction volume reached 77 billion Turkish liras ($2.27 billion), while the overall value of the index was 8.05 trillion liras ($237.8 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 33.9850 as of 6.25 p.m. local time (1525GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.9500, and the GBP/TRY traded at 44.8230.
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,512.27, while a barrel price of Brent oil was around $80.20.
