The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 9,916.89 points, up 0.82% from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index, after starting the day at 9.829,94, gained 80.40 points from the close on Monday.
The lowest point for the index during the day was 9,811.48, while the daily high was 9,944.21.
As many as 45 indexes lost in value, while 53 closed the day with gains.
The total transaction volume reached 108.2 billion Turkish liras ($2.98 billion), while the overall value of the index was 8.7 trillion liras ($240.8 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 36.2710 as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 37.9600, and the GBP/TRY traded at 45.7575.
The price of gold was $2,925.90 per ounce, while the barrel price of Brent oil was $75.25.
