Turkish president, Hungarian premier discuss bilateral ties, global issues

ISTANBUL

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday spoke over the phone with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to discuss bilateral as well as regional and global issues, according to the Türkiye’s Directorate of Communications.

“Wishing success to Hungary during its European Union term presidency, President Erdogan noted that Hungary’s support is important in terms of reviving Türkiye’s EU admission process,” Türkiye’s Communications Directorate said on X.

The Turkish president also congratulated Orban on his birthday, it said.
