Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Qatar’s capital Doha on a two-day official visit on Monday.
Erdogan was welcomed at Hamad International Airport by Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Doha Mehmet Mustafa Goksu, and other officials.
During the visit, Erdogan and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani will co-chair the ninth meeting of the Türkiye-Qatar Supreme Strategic Committee.
All aspects of the Türkiye-Qatar relations will be reviewed, and means to further deepen the cooperation between the two countries in various areas will be addressed in the meeting.
The leaders are expected to exchange views on regional and global issues, including Israeli attacks on Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.
Erdogan will also attend the 44th Gulf Cooperation Council Summit on Tuesday.
Various bilateral agreements are expected to be signed.
